Mrs. Laura Whitley  

Murfreesboro, N.C., February 27. Funeral services for Mrs. Laura D. Harcum Whitley, 77, who died Monday, 25 February 1946, at her home in Hertford after an illness of three weeks, were conducted today, 27 February 1946, at 3:30 p.m. at the Buckhorn Baptist Church, Como, by the Rev. J.E. Lanier. Burial was in the Black Jack Cemetery, near Como.  

Mrs. Whitley is survived by her husband, W.H. Whitley, of Como; six daughters, Mrs. George King and Mrs. Joe Whitehead, both of Como; Mrs. G.B. Pope, Newsoms; Mrs. C.H. Pope, of Suffolk; Mrs. Grady Vaughan and Mrs. E.T. Griffith, both of Murfreesboro; two sons, H.F. Whitley, of Como, and R.H. Whitley, of Suffolk; and 33 grandchildren.
