George E. Harcum

George Edward Harcum, 58, of 1008 Dutch Rd., Suffolk, Va., died 30 July 1999 in Obici Hospital.

A native of Suffolk, he was the son of the late George Ellis Harcum and Erma Leigh Collins Harcum.

He retired from Ford Motor Co., Norfolk Assembly Plant.

He was a member of Holy Neck United Church of Christ.

He was an honorary member of Holland Fire Dept., a life member of the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, McAlister Masonic Lodge No. 185, and Suffolk Shrine Club.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Carr Harcum; a daughter and son in law, Denise H. Walters and Seba R. Walters of Suffolk; a son and daughter in law, Barry D. Harcum and Lori B. Harcum of Suffolk; a grandson, Devin S. Walters of Suffolk; one grandchild to be born on 3 August 1999; and a brother, Jesse L. Harcum of Suffolk.

The funeral will be held Monday [2 August 1999] at 2 p.m. by Rev. Scott Fuller in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home. Interment with Masonic rites will be in Colosse Cemetery.
