Roy Dixon Hamilton passed away October 10, 2018. He is predeceased by his parents, Hunter and Flossie Stanley Hamilton and eight siblings. Left to cherish is memory are his wife Margaret W. Hamilton, two daughters, Gail Early (Dane) of Chesapeake, Joanne French of Norfolk, and one son, Channon Dekker (Tasha) of Virginia Beach and five grandchildren. Roy was also survived by six siblings. He was the former owner of Hamilton Contractors, Inc. Roy was a collector of fine second hand merchandise. He was an indomitable man and a sharer of knowledge. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1 PM in the Chapel at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 6 to 7:30 at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, VA 23435. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Suffolk Humane Society, 412 Kings Fork Road, Suffolk, VA 23434. The family is being serviced by Baker-Foster Funeral Home.
