He was predeceased by his parents, William V. Hadsell Jr. and Ann Hadsell, and his stepmother Betty Hadsell. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Peggy Hadsell; his son Jim (Shy) and their children Xekan, 12, and Nyx, 4; and his youngest son, Ian. He is also survived by eight siblings: a sister Nancy Hadsell of Austin, TX; Diane (Frank) Spicer of Tampa, FL; Laura (Kelly) Gordon of Savannah, GA; a brother Michael Hadsell of Portland, OR; and a sister Carol (Bud) Gaskin of Lincolnton, GA. He has a stepbrother Rusty Brett and two stepsisters Betty Carole Smith and Ann Hadsell. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Billy was a native of Savannah, GA. He attended Blessed Sacrament School and Benedictine Military School and received his first undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in Social Studies Education. He worked for a short period as an educator but then moved out west to Lake Tahoe. He was exceptional at math and had an excellent memory and was able to live off his gambling prowess for several years. He then moved back to Georgia where he lived on Lake Sinclair in Central Georgia and had several years that he competed in water skiing events. He became an accomplished slalom skier and won several medals and enjoyed his time with the Regional Water Skiing Club. During this time, Billy discovered his love for arcade games and acquired such skill that he set the high score on many machines in the local arcades that stood for many years. He was also into weightlifting as he progressed with his water skiing and spent many years in the gym. Billy decided to return to college and studied accounting at Georgia College in Milledgeville. He passed the CPA exam and won the Gold Key Award for receiving the highest score in Georgia that year. He worked the rest of his life as an accountant and did an excellent job with his clients. He also voluntarily did the tax returns for most of his friends and relatives for over 25 years. Billy was tremendously loyal to most of his friends that he grew up with in Savannah. He frequently came home to Savannah to visit with them and stayed an active part of their lives for his entire life. He was loved by his family, friends, and will be greatly missed.
