Obituary of Kenneth Lee Hackworth 19 MAR 1930 - 15 DEC 2018 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HACKWORTH, Kenneth Lee, 88, of Chesterfield, died December 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Carol Viar; his mother, Mary Elizabeth; his father, Orren R.; his brother, Orren R. Jr.; daughter-in-law, Jo Anne C. Hackworth; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Viar. He is survived by his daughter, Amy E. Jennings (Randy); sons, Dennis R. Hackworth and Steven K. Hackworth (Debbie); four grandchildren, Benjamin (Erika), Adam, Kristin (Adam) and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Alasdair and Breiton; and sister, Barbara Gunter; as well as many relatives and friends. Kenneth was a Navy Veteran during the Korean War. He was a member of Bethany Place Baptist Church, where he had been involved in many church activities. The family would like to thank the many care givers at the Amelia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center that passionately cared for our Dad. The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. The ceremony and interment will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 19 [2018], in Fort Hill Memorial Park in Lynchburg, Va.
