Murfreesboro - Funeral services for Cecil Thomas Griffith, 71, who died at his home here Sunday afternoon, 27 November 1949, following several months of declining health, will be from the Griffith residence Monday afternoon, 28 November 1949, at 2:20 o'clock, with the Rev. J. M. Duncan, pastor of the Meherrin Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lonnie Sasser, pastor of the Conway Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Meherrin Church Cemetery. Mr. Griffith, a merchant here, was a member of the Meherrin Baptist Church and the son of the late Joseph H. Griffith and Mrs. Margie Parker Griffith, both of Murfreesboro. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Daisey Chitty Griffith; and two brothers, W. N. Griffith of Woodland and H. U. Griffith of Ahoskie.
