Henry P. Gomer Sr.  

HOLLAND - Henry Palmore Gomer Sr., 69, of R.F.D. 2, died Sunday at 5:35 a.m. in Obici Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack Saturday night.  

A native of Nansemond County, he was the son of A. T. and Mrs. Martha Daughtrey Gomer and the husband of Mrs. Mary Virginia Fanney Gomer. He was a member of Holy Neck Christian Church and the Men's Bible Class.  

Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W. J. Price Jr. of Bennetts Harbor, Mrs. G. P. Jackson of Suffolk, and Mrs. John Horay of Ft. Lee; five sons, Talmadge R. Gomer and Azria G. Gomer, both of Nansemond County, H. P. Gomer Jr. and Otho Lindsay Gomer, both of Suffolk, and Lyman Lee Gomer of Portsmouth; a sister, Mrs. Jape West of Holland; and 17 grandchildren.  

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. T. Grissom of Holy Neck Christian Church. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
