She was a member of Mount Horeb United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Gray Crumpler of Richmond and Mary A. Jenkins of Gordonsville; four sons, James A. Garrett and Patrick O. Garrett of Richmond, and Robert L. Garrett and Sherman R. Garrett of Orange; a sister, Alise Hellems of Unionville; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, William E. Garrett, and by the following grandchildren: William E. Garrett Jr., Ronald W. Garrett, Brenda D. Stankawicz and Vicky Sue Crumpler.
