Mrs. Beatrice Gale Garthright, age 78, died Sunday, November 20, 1977. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Heath of Lafayette, La.; three sons, William E. Garthright of Mechanicsville, Robert T. Garthright Jr. and W. Earl Garthright, both of Richmond; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Chapman of Chuckatuck, Va.; a brother, Jack M. Gale of Smithfield, Va.; and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Garthright was a member of Battery Park Christian Church. Remains rest at the Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Tuesday, November 22. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
