Portsmouth - Benecia L. Farrell, 94 passed away October 30, 2016. She was the daughter of Ernest Oscar and Iva Setzer Lail. 

She was born in Lunenburg Co. VA. She was preceded in death by her husband Emmett L. Farrell. Benecia was a member of Green Acres Presbyterian Church, a retired Realtor of 20 years, a lifetime member of the Rivers Edge Garden Club and an avid bridge player. 

She is survived by her only son E. Luke Farrell (Linda) and his three sisters, Donna Kadlec (Joseph), Dale Simmer (Bobby), and Linnea Saunders. She is also survived by one sister Naomi Clarke, 8 grandchildren; Ginger, Maribeth, Jason, Dustin, Ashley, Emily, Sean, Thomas and 7 great-grandchildren. We would like to thank all her caregivers especially Lance and Joe. 

Her family will receive friends from 5-7 p. m. Friday November 4, 2016 at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, VA 23435. Burial will be in Crewe VA. Donations can be made to Green Acres Presbyterian Church in lieu of flowers. Condolences may be registered at BakerFoster.com.
