Robert Ewald Obituary Jack Ewald passed on Monday, April 18, 2022, at his home in Suffolk, Va. He was well known around his community as a WWII Omaha Beach D-Day survivor. He had served in the Army Company K, 115th infantry of the 29th Division. He enjoyed his volunteer work at Sentara Obici Hospital and the family he created there. He also enjoyed time spent at American Legion Post 88. He could always be counted on for a good joke and a great hug. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Ewald; granddaughter, Megan Taylor and husband, Jonathan; great grandson, Waylon Taylor; sister, Gwen Swofford; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will accept visitors at R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home North Suffolk Chapel on Thursday, April 21, from 6pm- 8pm.
