HAMPTON – A funeral for Joseph L. Earhart, who died Saturday 23 April 1983, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday 27 April 1983 in R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home by the Rev. Lester P. Messerschmidt of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.  

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Stella C. Earhart; three daughters, Mrs. Carolyn C. Russell, Miss Kathleen A. Earhart, and Miss Isabel L. Earhart, all of Hampton; two sons, Harold V. Earhart of Newport News and Isidore L. Earhart of Hampton; his mother, Mrs. Kathleen W. Earhart of Hampton; six sisters, Mrs. Viola K. Wood, Mrs. Isabel O'Keefe, Mrs. Louise E. Foster, Mrs. Janice E. Angel, Mrs. Margaret E. Mingee, all of Hampton, and Mrs. Kathleen E. Carter of Suffolk; two brothers, Robert H. Earhart of Suisun City, California, and Charles P. Earhart of Hampton; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday 26 April 1983 in the funeral home.
