Lillian M. Duke 

SUFFOLK- Lillian Madison Duke, 86, died Monday, Dec. 25, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Washington County, N.C., Mrs. Duke was a member of First Baptist Church, Main Street.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce D. Griggs of Suffolk; three sons, Vernon Duke, Perry Yates Duke: and L. Randolph Duke, all of Suffolk; 14 grandchildren; and 18 greatgrandchildren. 

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. T. Floyd Irby Jr. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and at other times at the residence, 131 North Street, Suffolk.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to a favorite charity.
