Bradshaw Succumbs At 87 Franklin, November 13.-Mrs. Nancy Bradshaw, 87, one of Isle of Wight County's oldest and best known residents died at her home near Walters Monday night [12 Nov 1945] after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Bradshaw had always been known to her many friends as "Miss Nannie." She was born in Isle of Wight County and was the widow of Jacob T. Bradshaw and daughter of the late Maj. I. W. and Amanda Branch Duck, of Walters. Surviving her are two nieces, Mrs. J. Clinton Bradshaw, of Carrsville, and Mrs. Wilbur V. Bradshaw, of Walters; two great nephews, Joel Bradshaw, of Carrsville, and Maj. W. V. Bradshaw, Jr., of Shelbyville, Ky.; three great nieces, Mrs. Guy Harcum and Miss Anne Virginia Bradshaw, of Carrsville, and Mrs. S. H. Cooper, of Norfolk; and a number of great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday [14 Nov 1945] afternoon at 3 o'clock at Mount Carmel Christian Church conducted by Dr. L. W. Johnson and the Rev. Fred Wright.
