Jean Drewry Obituary Jean Howell Drewry December 7, 1945 - October 31, 2023 Franklin - Jean Howell Drewry, 77, passed away October 31, 2023, with her daughter by her side. Born in Isle of Wight County on December 7, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Linwood Nelson Howell and Margaret Ann Butler Howell. She was also predeceased by a son, Michael Nelson Ballard; two sisters, Elizabeth Cutchins and Marjorie Whitley; a brother, James L. Howell; and a son-in-law, Kenny Coggsdale. Jean was a graduate of Windsor High School and she worked as a medical secretary and transcriptionist for more than 30 years. She worked for several physician offices, with her longest tenure at Family Practice Associates. Jean was beautiful, funny, and kind. She will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Lorrie Coggsdale (Doug Anthony) of Suffolk; a sister, Audrey Jenkins (John) of Carrsville; three grandchildren, Zach Coggsdale (Michelle), Jacob Coggsdale (Kelsie), and Maggie Coggsdale; two great grandchildren, Sofia and Ben Coggsdale; and a very dear friend, Tammy Newsom. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11AM to 1PM Saturday, November 11, 2023 in Wright Funeral Home.
