Drewry July 9, 1927 - December 17, 2014 Black Creek - Doris Isabelle Barrett Drewry, 87, widow of Fenton Earl Drewry, passed away December 17, 2014 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Mills Burwell Barrett, Sr. and Josie Florence Faison Barrett and was predeceased by a sister, Grace Bristow and a brother, Mills B. Barrett, Jr. Mrs. Drewry was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church and was active in the WMU. Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Teresa D. Gresham, Deborah D. Matthews (Melvin) and Earlene D. Evans (Brad); two nieces, Delores Parker and Withie Billups; three grandchildren, Stacy Gresham, Drew Evans (Jessi), and Lindsay M. Schneider(Alex) ; three great-grandchildren, Josi, Jonas and Jillian Evans. A celebration of her life will be held at 2PM Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Black Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
