Obituary of Villa Pauline (Bettie) Drake 28 AUG 1885 - 15 JUL 1956 MRS. VILLA P. VICK FRANKLIN-Mrs. Villa P. Vick, 71, the wife of the late Cilas E. Vick died at a Suffolk hospital Sunday. She was the daughter of the late Martha Elizabeth Johnsón and George Drake, and was a member of the Beaver Day Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Vassie V. Pope of Carrsville, Mrs. Alese V. Carr of Franklin and Mrs. Florence V. Ferguson of Portsmouth; four sons, Cullie M. Vick, L. C. Vick and Earl S. Vick of Franklin and Lloyd H. Vick of Hampton; a sister, Mrs. Mattie. grandchildren Whitley of and a Portsmouth; number 22 of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of W. M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home. by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, pastor of the Beaver Dam Baptist Church and the Rev. 0. L. Gochenour, pastor of Barnes Methodist Church. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery at Boykins.
