He was a native of Southampton County and had made his home here for years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Cooke Drake, of Portsmouth; one daughter, Mrs. William H. Jennings, of Franklin; one son, Milton Junius Drake, of Portsmouth; three sisters, Mrs. Dollie E. Hudson, Mrs. John W. Cotton, of Cradock, and Mrs. Nellie Edwards, of Portsmouth; a brother, Herbert L. Drake of Portsmouth; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 P.M. Thursday at the residence.
