Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Richard Decker; son, Robert Decker; grandchildren, Kody and Kyle, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Katherine retired from Portsmouth City Schools. She graduated from Appling County High School, she went on to attend Emory University and Virginia Tech where she attained a Masters and Certificate of Advanced Studies. A graveside service will be held at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Rd. Suffolk, VA 23434 on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11 AM with military honors. A time of visitation will be held before the service from 9 AM to 10 AM at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Ln. Suffolk, VA 23435. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation at 200 SE 1st St., suite 800 Miami, FL 33131. Condolences may be offered at RWBakerFH.com.
