A native of Nansemond County, he was an Army veteran of World War II and a supervisor for Virginia Electric and Power Co. He was a member and past head usher of First Baptist Church; member of the Adult VI Sunday School Class; BPO Elks No. 681; Travelers Protective Association; Progressive Men's Club and American Legion Post 57. Survivors include his widow. Mrs. Frances Goodrich Davidson; three sons, James Thomas Davidson Jr. of Colonial Heights, Forrest Donald Davidson of Farmville and George Walter Davidson of Suffolk, and one sister, Mrs. Harry W. Davidson of Holland Station. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church by the Rev. Jack B. Lyles. Burial will be in the South Quay Baptist Church Cemetery.
