Artemas Darden Dies in Norfolk 

Franklin, July 4[1944]-Artemas Clark Darden, 35, native of the Carrsville community, died this morning at the Norfolk General Hospital after a brief illness. 

He was the husband of Mrs. Katherine Carr Darden and the son of W. W. and Katherine Parker Darden of the Carrsville community. He was a member of the Colosse Baptist Church. 

Besides his wife and parents he is survived by one son C. Darden, Jr.; three sisters R. T. Harrison of Carrsville; Mrs. W. S. Barrett of Windsor and Mrs. J. A. Cobb of Newport News.
