Wesley O. Cutchins  

HAMPTON - Wesley O. Cutchins, 86, died Sunday, 11 December 1988, in his home. He was a native of Nansemond County and a Peninsula resident most of his life. He retired from the sheet metal shop at Newport News Shipbuilding in 1967 after 42 years. Cutchins was a member of Ivy Memorial Baptist Church.  

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Ann Chadwick of Marietta, Ga.; one son, Russell Owen Cutchins of Richmond; one brother, Jimmy Cutchins of Chesapeake; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Peninsula Funeral Home by the Rev. Gene C. Fant. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Ivy Memorial Baptist Church, 240 Marcella Road, Hampton.
