Portsmouth - Mallie Jerrell Cumbia, 87, passed away Sunday August 10, 2014. A native Franklin, N. C., she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Pearlie S. Jerrell and was a member of Sweethaven Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford Cumbia and her sister Jennie Resurrection. 

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa D. Cumbia; two sisters, C. Becky Smith and Louise Johnston and her loving and faithful companion Shelby. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday August 12, 2014 in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Tom Potter. Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel is handling the arrangements and condolences may be registered at bakerfoster.com. At the request of the family please have all flowers sent to the funeral home.
