A. W. Cullen Sr. CHESAPEAKE - Allen William Cullen Sr., 71, of 3146 Joseph Ave., Chesapeake, died Tuesday in a local hospital after a long illness. A native of Mathews County, he had been a Chesapeake resident for the past 40 years, was a retired foreman with the Texas Oil Co. and a member of Raleigh Heights Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ola Amelia Beale Cullen; one daughter, Mrs. Joyce C. Smith, and a son, Allen William (Bill) Cullen Jr. of Chesapeake; two sisters, Mrs. Cornelia Gallagher of Portsmouth and Mrs. Lucille Moody of Saluda; and eight grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Henry V. Napier. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
