S. Holland, Buried June 3 At Windsor Mrs. Martha Sarah Holland, 72, widow of J. Levy Holland, died at 1:40 a.m. June 2 at her home in Windsor after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Lawrence and Virginia Vaughan Councill, of Southampton County. Surviving are six daughters, Erma, Frances and Hazel Holland of Windsor; Mrs. C. A. Chappell and Mrs. C. L. Wellons of Sedley, and Mrs. W. A. Munford of Zuni; a son, R. Dwight Holland of South Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. James E. Hatfield and six grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 3 at the Windsor Baptist Church by the Rev. B. A. Riddle, pastor and the Rev. A. D. Poythress of South Norfolk. Burial was in the Windsor Cemetery. Pallbearers were L. T. Hall, C. E. Fulgham, Clyde Johnson, Almer Hatfield, Thurman Johnson, G. C. Harrison, Richard Turner and G. R. Lawrence.
