The body was prepared for burial at the Sturtevant-Padgett Funeral Home. ## Transcript SARAH CATHERINE CORBITT TURNER Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Catherine Corbitt Turner, aged 89 years, who died at 1:35 o'clock yesterday afternoon [6 May 1938] at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. C. H. Fitton, 520 Harrison Street, after a long illness, will be held tomorrow afternoon [8 May 1938] at 2:30 o'clock at the Fitton residence. Interment will take place in Olive Branch Cemetery. The body was prepared for burial at the Sturtevant-Padgett Funeral Home and will be removed to the Fitton residence this afternoon. In addition to Mrs. Fitton she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. M. V. Hargraves of Portsmouth, and by two sons, S. T. of Chester, Va., and J. M. Turner of Norfolk, and 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Turner was a native of Southampton County, but had been living in Portsmouth for the last eight years. She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church, Southampton County.
