JERRY CORBITT  

Funeral services for Jerry Corbitt, 66, of Caraleigh Mills, held yesterday [23 Nov 1942] at 3 o’clock at the Friendship Primitive Baptist Church. Services were conducted by the Rev. Theo. B. Davis, and burial was in the church cemetery.  

Surviving are his wife, the former Hettie Mason; four sons: W. Corbitt of Maysville, O. Corbitt of Zebulon, A. B. Corbitt of Middlesex, and J. M. Corbitt of Raleigh; three daughters: Mrs. J. O. Walden of Morristown, Tenn., Mrs. F. Hood of Zebulon, and Mrs. George Whitaker of Raleigh; a sister, Mrs. Maggie Wright of Middlesex; Marvin O. Corbitt of San Francisco, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.  

Pallbearers were B. G. Suggs, T. Mangum, V. N. Bailey, S. Hood, R. L. Phillips, and William Audrey.
