Gary Wayne Coffey, 65, of Wilkesboro, peacefully went to join his Savior on Monday, 18 June 2018, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, 23 June 2018, at First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro with Dr. Bert Young and Dr. N. Nelson Granade, Jr. officiating. Entombment will be at Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 PM prior to the service in Wayland Hall. Gary was born on 25 August 1952 in Louisville, KY.  

He is survived by his wife, Hope Faircloth Coffey of the home; a daughter, Ashton Coffey MacDonald and husband Tyler of Lewisville; a sister, Kelia D. Coffey of Lewisville; a brother, Rick E. Coffey and wife Tamara of Lenoir; a brother-in-law, Jay Faircloth and wife Susan of Cary; cousin Christy Lynch and husband Jim of Suffolk, Virginia; and honorary family members Robin F. Weant of Lewisville and David and Gwen Temple of North Wilkesboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro, P.O. Box 458, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659 or the Wilkes Heritage Museum, P.O. Box 935, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
