William A. Cobb ZUNI - William Alfred Cobb, 86, retired contractor and farmer, died Sunday at 6 a.m. in Obici Memorial Hospital after a threeweek illness. A native of Southampton County he was a son of Benjamin E. and Mrs. Nancy Jane Buck and the husband of Mrs. Indiana Barrett Cobb. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church and its Men's Bible Class. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. A. Bland of Windsor and Mrs. H. A. Nichols of Norfolk; six sons, Willie T. Cobb and Jesse L. Cobb of Norfolk, A. Raby Cobb of Zuni, Warren R. Cobb and John P. Cobb of Ivor and Russell T. Cobb of Windsor; three sisters, Mrs. Leonard Joyner, Mrs. Calvin Scott and Mrs. Hurley Joyner of Franklin; a brother, George T. Cobb Sr. of Hampton; 25 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in I. O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. Hugh Lassiter of Antioch Christian Church, the Rev. Bryan H. Hollomon of Ivor Baptist Chuch H.
