Survivors are his wife, Annie Bacot Carter of the home; two daughters, Mary Ann Vernon and Barbara Jean Kenimer, both of Florence; a brother Joe T. Carter of St. Louis, Mo.; two grandchildren; Michelle Cribb Williams and Sherman Tate Kenimer Jr.; three stepgrandsons, Michael Vernon, Mark Vernon and the Rev.
