Carr, 79, prominent farmer of Colosse, died at his home Thursday [18 January 1934] afternoon at 5 o'clock after a short illness. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. A. L. Duck, Mrs. W. L. Darden, Mrs. Billie Darden, Mrs. Reuben Spivey and Mrs. C. B. Rhodes, all of Colosse; four sons, T. H. Carr, G. W., J. H. and W. H. Carr, all of Colosse; 32 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the home near Colosse Saturday [20 January 1934] afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev. J. Sidney Cobb. Interment will be in the family cemetery.
