Carr Jr. John Thomas Carr Jr., 49, of 223 Essex St., Newport News, died unexpectedly early Thursday at his residence. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church and an employe of Birtcherd Dairy Co. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Boykins Carr; four sisters. Mrs. A. E. Bradshaw of Zuni, and Mrs. Catherine Darden. Mrs. Robert L. Johnson and Mrs. Edward Darden of Carrsville, and four brothers, Presley Carr of Zuni, J. W. Carr of Baltimore, M. P. Carr of Carrsville, and Eugene Carr of Windsor. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. today at J. M. Holland Funeral Home chapel. Franklin, by the Rev. J. C. Crutchfield, pastor of Antioch Christian Church. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of the W. J. M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home Saturday at 4 p.m. by the Rev. G. C. Crutchfield, pastor of the Antioch Christian Church and the Rev.
