CARRSVILLE - John Edward Carr, 88, died Wednesday [28 OCT 1981] in DePaul Hospital, Norfolk. He was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County and was a farmer in the county most of his life. He was a member of Colossee Baptist Church in Isle of Wight County. 

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Belle Rhodes Carr; a sister, Mrs. Clara C. Barber of Norfolk; and two brothers, Spencer L. Carr and G. Dallas Carr Sr., both of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday [30 OCT 1981] in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. Donald E. Trump. Burial will be in Colossee Baptist Church Cemetery.
