George L. Carr 

CARRSVILLE － George Leonard "Big Boy" Carr, 85, a lifelong Isle of Wight County native, died Saturday, Nov. 14 [1992]. He retired as owner of Carr's Garage. Mr. Carr was a member of Woodmen of the World and a charter member of Carrsville Ruritan Club and the Carrsville Volunteer Fire Department. He was the oldest male member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. 

Survived by his wife, Bessie "Beck" Boykin Carr; and a sister, Mildred C. Vaughan of Chuckatuck. 

Funeral was Monday at Wright Funeral Home in Franklin.
