Carpenter, Thomas S. Carpenter Jr., Fred S. Carpenter, and Russell Carpenter; four daughters, Mrs. Grace Lacy, Mrs. Julia Ann Ragland, Mrs. Frances Towsey, and Mrs. Mildred Mason; a brother, John H.
