A native of Isle of Wight County, VA, he was the son of the late Percy Elton Byrum Sr. and Selma Joyner Byrum. He was also predeceased by a brother, Robert E. Byrum, and a grandchild, Chad N. Byrum. Thomas Roland was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a lifelong farmer, and his family was awarded Farm Family of the Year. He was a member of Pine Grove Assembly of God, now known as Living Hope Community Fellowship, where he served as a former deacon and trustee. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jones Byrum, of Zuni; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda B.
