Ruth Burroughs Obituary

At around 2 am the morning of May 17, 2024, Ruth LaChance Burroughs passed away peacefully in her sleep. She is survived by two children and four grandchildren, as well as two brothers and a sister in her birth state of Maine, and will be dearly missed by everyone whose life she has touched. She finally gets to join her husband, Walter R. Burroughs, who passed away on May 11, 1996, and will be laid to rest beside him at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. She was a retired Navy veteran and later a teacher for Suffolk Public Schools. 

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, North Suffolk Chapel is serving the family. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.
