Alyne Buchanan Obituary

Alyne C. Buchanan, 93, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021. Born in Cherokee, Jackson Co. North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Sam Crowe and Josephine Lee. She is preceded in death by her late husband, George A. Buchanan; three sons, Jerry, Perry and Clinton and three daughters, Adele Matthews, Patricia Stoffel and Linda Sue Selman. 

Alyne retired from Oaks Veterinarian Clinic as a Veterinarian Assistant. She was also an avid gardener. Most of all, she was our healer. 

A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Alyne is survived by her son, Clinton A. Buchanan; 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, along with a host of extended family and friends. 

Family and friends will gather in the Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Ln. Suffolk, VA 23435 on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 1 to 2 PM. A graveside service will follow with Pastor Matthew A. Havens officiating in the St. Luke's Memorial Park at 2:30 PM. 

Memorial donations may be made to Isle of Wight County Animal Services, 13044 Poor House Rd. Windsor, VA 23487. Baker-Foster Funeral Home is serving the family. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.
