He was born June 2, 1938 to Marshall Lee Bryant Sr. and Frances Gay Bryant. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Parker Bryant; daughters, Jody Blankenship (Jack), Kim B. Opauski, and Tracy B. Vick all of Suffolk; grandchildren, Jason Blankenship (Amanda), Jessica Hunt, Jennifer Opauski, Michael Opauski, Daniel Underwood, Chad Winslow, and Kasey Winslow; great grandchildren, Alexis, Chloe, Austin, Zayne, Ayden, Tristan, Lily; brother, S.T. Bryant of Windsor; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert L. Bryant Sr., Jimmy N. Bryant Sr., William R. Bryant Sr., and Rawls E. Bryant; sister, Rosa Jean Bryant; and stepfather, Roy E. Atkins. Junior was a member of Antioch Church in Windsor, VA. He was one of the original members of the Nansemond River Boys. He loved to play the banjo, he had a great love for working on John Deere tractors and equipment. He most enjoyed working in his garage and outdoors. He was a dear husband, father, brother, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by his family and they are left with the fondest of memories.
