He was the widow of Joyce Carter Bristow and a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. He was a charter member of the Black Creek Ruritan Club. He had retired as a carpenter for Union Camp, Corp. Among the survivors is one daughter: Mrs. Rosalyn Jukes of Richmond; two sons, Coral Bristow of Franklin and Gavin Bristow of Joliet, Ill.; six grandchildren. 

A funeral service will be held Saturday 2 P.M. Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Interment Southampton Memorial Park.
