Mrs. Eva M. Brinkley, 62, of Newport News, died Friday in Riverside Hospital.

Born in Nansemond County and a Peninsula resident for the past 40 years, she was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. 

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Faye Legare McNamara of Suffolk; two sons, William Legare Brinkley Jr. of Hampton and James Randolph Brinkley of Bettendorf, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Odie Kemp of Hampton, Mrs. Novella Forrest of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Hilda Crittenden and Mrs. Frances Kingsbury, both of Suffolk; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. 

Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge.
