SUFFOLK - Cleveland Grover Brinkley Sr., 73, of Driver died in a Williamsburg hospital early today after a long illness. He had operated Brinkley's Garage at Driver for about 15 years before becoming ill. He was a member of Cypress Chapel Christian Church. He was the son of the late /Nathanial and Sarah Elizabeth Brinkley Brinkley of Nansemond County. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel Heffington Brinkley; three sons, L. R. Brinkley of Portsmouth. W. L. Brinkley of Newport News and C. G. Brinkalley, Jr. also of Newport News; two daughters, Mrs. F. A. Caster of Titusville, Pa. and Mrs. T. T. Aston of Portsmouth; one brother, Lovitt Brinkley of Norfolk; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the 'Baker Funeral Home here by the Rev. R. E. Brittle, pastor, of Bethlehem Christian Church with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
