John William Bridger Jr. 10 OCT 1895 - 31 OCT 1955 John William Bridger, 59, husband of Mrs. Fannie Haskett Bridger, died at 405 Carlisle Way, yesterday [31 Oct 1955] at 1:15 p.m. Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Emma C. Munford, of Norfolk; two sisters, and Mrs. John Hansen, of Norfolk, and Mrs. R. V. Parron, of Great Bridge, a brother, A. L. Bridger, Newport News; four half-brothers, C. K. Munford, Raleigh Munford and Dan Munford, all of Norfolk, and L. E. Munford, of Atlanta, Ga., and two half-sisters, Mrs. Victor Hollomon, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Herman Hancock, of High Point, N. C. Mr. Bridger was a native of Isle of Wight County and had been a resident of Norfolk for 50 years. He was a member of the Chesterfield Heights Church of Christ, Charity Lodge 10, K. of P., L.O.O.M., Hampton Roads Legion 199, Legion of Moose and a veteran of World War I. He was owner and operator of the Bridger Service Station. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home at a time to be announced.
