MILES  

Mrs. Essie Story Miles, age 75, died Wednesday morning in MCV Hospital.  

A native of Southampton County, she was the wife of Enoch F. Miles. She was a member of the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church.  

Surviving besides her husband, are five daughters, Mrs. Virginia Ricks and Mrs. Louise Harrell, both of Franklin, Mrs. Pauline Dunlow of Handsom, Mrs. Clara McDaniel of Petersburg, and Mrs. Mildred Goings of Los Angeles, Calif.; four sons, Roland Story of Franklin, Joe B. Story, Ray Story and Walter Story, all of Petersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Vergie Laine of Petersburg, Mrs. Alice Jenkins of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and Mrs. Lizzie Story of Emporia; a brother, Harvey Brewer of Emporia; thirty-five grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.  

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 P.M. in the W.J. M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Harry Bunch. Burial will be in the Mt. Horeb Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ricks.
