Obituary of Wortley A Bradshaw 15 OCT 1869 - 23 MAR 1936 MRS. W. B. CARR Funeral services for Mrs. Wortley B. Carr were held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R P. Jones, 402 Highland Avenue, conducted by the Rev. Dr. J. G. Truitt. A trio composed of Mr. R. L. Baker, Mrs. J. H. Bowden and Miss Louise Bowden, all of Portsmouth, rendered the selection, "I Shall Not Be Moved.” A quartete composed of Mrs. Clarence Harrell and Mrs. M. F. Hail. R. A. Harrell, and W W. Ballard, accompanied by Mrs. I. W. Johnson, rendered the hymns "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere” and "There'll Be No Disappointments in Heaven”. There were many beautiful floral tributes. The casket was covered with a pall of ascension lilies and roses. Active pallbearers were: Edgar L. Bradshaw, J. N. Alexander, J .J. Hendricks, L. H. Carr, Gardner Lankford, Smith Joyner. Lonnie Carr, Murray Norfleet. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family. Interment was in Cedar Hill cemetery.
