SUFFOLK — Mary Louise Benton, 67, of the 2800 block of N. Shore Drive, died 7 September 1998.  

A native of Suffolk, she was the widow of Luther Marvin Benton.  

Survivors include two daughters, E. Marie Felton and Edith L. Benton; one stepdaughter, Patricia Benton; one stepson, Larry Benton; one step-granddaughter, Sherry Benton; and her mother, Louise Purkhiser.  

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday on 10 September 1998 at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, by the Rev. Thomas Reynolds. Burial will be in Liberty Springs Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. Following the service, they will be at the home of Mrs. C. Oliver Bradshaw, 912 Carolina Road, Suffolk.
