Mrs. Margaret Bradshaw Carr, a native of Isle of Wight County, and a resident of the Franklin community for the past 40 years, died at the Raiford Memorial Hospital Monday night, March 4 [1957], after a long illness. Mrs. Carr was the widow of Samuel P Carr of Franklin, and daughter of the late Amos F. and Cherry Daughtrey Bradshaw of Isle of Wight County. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. C. E. Bunn of Franklin and Mrs. S. Ernest Taylor of Portsmouth, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the W. J. M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home March 6 [1957] at 2 P M by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins, pastor of Franklin Baptist Church, and burial was in Beaver Dam Church Cemetery.
