George Columbus Bradshaw 01 FEB 1867 - 08 FEB 1951 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- George Bradshaw Succumbs at 84 George Columbus Bradshaw, 84, died at his home in Nansemond County this morning at 8:50 o‚Äôclock after a long illness He was the husband of Mrs. Rosa Brinkley Bradshaw and the son of the late Elisha and Elizabeth Boykin Bradshaw, of Isle of Wight County. A native of Isle of Wight County, he had lived in Nansemond County for the past 40 year where he was engaged in farming and dairy farming. He was a member of the Suffolk Christian Church and the Baracca Class. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter. Mrs. J. S. Alexander, of Ahoskie; five sons, Liuwood E., of Norfolk, Edgar L. of this city, Herbert L., Ocie C., and Leslie L., of Nansemond County; two step children, Alton Brinkle, and A. D. Brinkley, of this city; one sister, Mrs. C. B. Reynolds, of Holland; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the I. O. Hill Funeral Home Saturday at 3:30 p. m. the Rev. Duane N. Vore, assisted by Dr. H. S. Hardcastle and the Rev. R. E. Brittle.
