A lifelong resident of Southampton County, he was a son of the late Tony and Lucille Brock Blythe and was predeceased by his wife, Tillie Morris Blythe; two brothers; three sisters and one granddaughter, Carla Fowler. He was an Army veteran and was a retired carpenter. Left to cherish his memory is one daughter, Linda B. Fowler and her husband, David; one granddaughter, Tina Fowler Vaughan and her husband, Brian; one great-granddaughter, Carla Grayson Vaughan and several nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral with military honors will be held at 2 PM Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. James H. Hyatt, Jr. officiating.
