Mrs Mabel Benthall McLaurin, 75, died Wednesday, June 7, 1989. Born June 8, 1913, in Rich Square, she was the daughter of the late William P Benthall and Martha Parker Benthall and widow of Samuel H McLaurin. She was a retired dietician at Rocky Mount Sanitarium. 

Surviving: sons, John E Warren and C Pat Warren, both of Rocky Mount, and Wilson Henry Warren of Raleigh; daughters, Mrs Jane W Busby of Charlotte and Mrs Florence Anne Richards of Cocomo, Ind; sisters, Mrs Janet B Day of Murfreesboro and Mrs Florence B Powell of Rich Square; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be 11 am Friday at Gay Yost Funeral Home chapel, with Dr Jerry Paul officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 pm Thursday; other times at the home, 113 Crestview Road.
